A:  Lifetime Coatings asks that all parts be received clean, disassembled and
in either chrome or stainless steel. These two materials have been proven to
best support PVD coatings.
Q:  Will PVD coating cover defects in my parts, such as scratches,
      dents and pin holes?
A:  PVD is a very durable, but thin coating. It will not fill or cover defects such
as scratches, pin holes or dents in the base material or the chrome
plating. For best results, send products that are defect-free. See our
Inspection Guide for more details.
Q:  Can Lifetime Coatings coat plastic products?
A:  Yes, of course! Our only requirement is that the plastic comes to us
chrome plated.
Q:  Can I send you a polished part for PVD Brushed (satin) Bronze?
A:  You would need to have the part brushed before sending it in
for PVD Brushed Bronze. Please remember that PVD replicates the
surface finish. If the surface is brushed prior to PVD it will remain
brushed after. Conversely, if the surface is glossy (polished) prior,
it will be glossy after.
Q:  I have a color sample that I need to match.  Can your company do
      that?
A:  Definitely!  Color matching is one of our many strengths.  We can match
any PVD color on the market, including the latest color trends.
Q:  Is PVD really worth the effort?
A:  Absolutely!  PVD is a great way to ensure that you have a beautiful
product of superior quality that will last a lifetime!
Q:  How should I transport my products to you for coating?
A:  You may send your products via UPS, Fed-EX, LTL or any carrier you
choose. We only ask that you pack your products well to protect them
during transport and that they are in production-friendly packaging.
Q:  How do I clean my PVD coated products?
A:  Maintaining a PVD finish is easy.  Just use a damp cloth or mild soap and
water.
Q:  How do I prepare my parts for PVD coating?
