PVD MADE EASY
PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition. It is a coating process that bonds a
metal coating to your parts on a molecular level. Our process, called the Cathodic
Arc Method, takes place in a vacuum chamber with the use of metals, such as
Titanium and Zirconium. These metals are ionized and combined with certain
gases to produce the various colors we offer. See our
Color Match page.

LTCI is widely recognized as one of the country's finest PVD decorative coating
service centers. We make it easy for you to offer PVD coated products to your
customers. All we ask is that the product comes to us:

  • Clean:  Free of oil, grease stains, polishing compound and adhesive.
See our Inspection Guide for more details.

  • Stainless Steel or Chromed: PVD adheres best to these two materials.

  • Defect Free: High quality coatings start with high quality parts. Be
advised that PVD does not fill or hide defects such as scratches, nicks,
pits and dents. Thorough chroming of non-stainless steel parts is also
recommended as PVD will not adhere to no-chrome areas.
When we receive your products, they are
carefully counted and inspected. We notify
each customer with our observations and
recommendations for achieving the best
coating results.

Once coating is complete, your product
goes through a final inspection and is then
returned to you more beautiful than when it
arrived.

Using Lifetime Coatings Inc. as your PVD
coating service center, makes adding
beauty, durability and value to your product
simple, fast and cost effective.
